What: Celebrate the thriving arts and culture scene in the heart of downtown Oceanside. The First Friday: Oceanside Art Walk will showcase live performances, music, poetry, art education, and culinary and pop-up art galleries showcased in local businesses and public spaces. This fun event is free and open to the public.

Dia de los Muertos Festival
What:2018 marks the 18th anniversary of the Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, festival in Oceanside. This traditional Mexican holiday dating back thousands of years celebrates and honors the memories of the deceased with colorful displays, face painting and more. This year the free public festival will be more vibrant and exciting than ever before with beautiful altars on display, as well as local traditional dancers and entertainment, a classic car show, arts & crafts, a shopping mercado filled with traditional food vendors and more. All attendees are encouraged to participate in the free interactive chalk cemetery where they can dedicate images, flowers and candles to their lost loved ones.
